Government of Canada Supports Growth in the Ocean Technology Industry

GRi Simulations is the recipient of a $500,000 repayable contribution from the Government of Canada. The investment, announced on July 20th, 2015 by the Honourable Rob Moore of ACOA, will further enable GRi to develop its industry leading simulation and visualization technologies. It will also assist the company in expanding its international market presence.

Since 1997, GRi’s VROV software has developed to include ROV pilot training and mission planning and rehearsal to its host of applications. More recently, the IDEA-FDK has been launched to provide a powerful, physics-based tool for field visualization and simulation.

“Over the past few years, our company has built a strong, talented team and we’ve worked hard to build our reputation within the ocean technology and energy sector as we’ve acquired new customers and expanded the business.  With this support from ACOA, we are able to pursue additional opportunities internationally as we seek out broader markets for our subsea simulation products and services.”
